Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited, a leading provider of high-precision products and turnkey solutions to the defence and space sector, announced yesterday that it has secured an order worth ₹64 crores for the Avionics Suite of Saras MK-2 Aircraft from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Aerospace Laboratories, Bengaluru.
The delivery of the aircraft is expected to be completed in the fiscal year 2023-24.
Saras MK-2, designed by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Aerospace Laboratories, is a multi-purpose civilian aircraft and is the first Indian aircraft in the light transport aircraft category.
The Avionics Suite of Saras MK-2 Aircraft is a complete glass cockpit of the aircraft, including all the equipment related to control, monitoring, communication, navigation, weather, anti-collision systems, and an auto-pilot system.
During Aero India 2023, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd collaborated with Yantra India to jointly address the requirements of Indian Defence Forces and export markets.
Furthermore, the company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with CONTROP Israel (Precision Technologies Ltd) to expand its footprint in the Indian defence sector and overseas markets.
